Looking back and looking forward

The empty Waco apartment. It was a really great home for four years, and then it just became an empty apartment.

The new home (pictures coming soon) is really cute, and in a very easygoing suburban area north of Richmond. Yesterday as I was running errands, I came to a halt on a busy road so a flock of geese could cross the street. Everyone else did the same, and didn't seem surprised as there was no honking or profane gesturing.

Based on an email I got yesterday from the former Director of Clinical Training at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, I deduced that there are seven of us in my intern cohort: Shawn, Beth, Sarah, me, Jon, Adam and Patrice. Two from UVA, one from VCU and one from Bowling Green. I suppose Tuesday I'll find out more!

I also received an email from my friend Grace, to whom I transferred my beloved little play therapy client. They met for the first time independent of me this week, and they sent me an email style care package (above)!
With any luck, I'll get a mailbox key next week. Today is the day I put Virginia plates on the car-almost begrudgingly. I never thought I would get attached to the Texas ones, but there you have it!
