I've known this for the last four years and today my parents are in Richmond doing what they do best: looking at real estate! I reinstated the blog in part to put the kibosh on my own denial about this whole moving business, not to mention its a really speedy way to update friends and family about the new digs, the new job and the new adventures. July 2nd my internship starts at VCU medical school- or as all the med student/cool kids call it "MCV." Being neither a med student, nor cool, I don't know what to call it beyond "my new internship," which incidentally did not go over well when I broke it to my long term play therapy client that I would be moving in mid June. He tried to negotiate, I tried to explain, and in the end it was a heart breaking session. And yet, it had to be done- I have to prepare him and myself for the goodbyes ahead. If I didn't, I wouldn't be doing my job.
So, in three months, the truck will arrive, and the stuff will be loaded and I will move back East. Maybe by then I will figure out what the heck the above state slogan is all about!
