New hire

Today I got the news that I am officially a new hire within the MCV VCU Health System. I submitted my employeed application, and sent in my background check paperwork and fingerprinting. I have a fancy email thingy now...and loads of info about what the heck is going to happen when I show up June 30. My HR gal Mollie is really on top of things...

1. Preplacement medical assessment. I.e. drug test and immunization updates
2. Drop off additional new hire paperwork to HR and show passport.
3. 8 hour generic hospital orientation. Like how to use a fire extinguisher.
4. 4 days of VTCC Orientation which includes getting keys, taking a tour, learning the mission, and then more specific stuff like crisis intervention, case management, paperwork
5. Apply for parking pass
6. Warning: Business attire is to be worn at all times. Ergo, I'm going to have to put away my current wardrobe of sweat pants and running shoes.
